Sandpiper Bay Community Patrol

COMMUNITY PATROL IN SANDPIPER BAY

Needs Volunteers

Your Community Patrol is an extension of, and managed by, the Port St. Lucie Police.  It is voluntarily staffed by members of the Sandpiper Bay Community. Teams regularly patrol their districts acting as a deterrent and extra set of eyes to potential crime. They also periodically perform Close House Watch for area residents who request this service when going away.

Each team has their own dedicated car and assigned patrol areas.  Time commitment is only 2 hours per week. The days and times are flexible, and each team member is partnered with someone who has a similar day/time preference such as morning, afternoon, or evening including weekends.

Community Patrol members must meet the guidelines and successfully complete the required training prescribed by the Port St. Lucie Police Department to qualify as a Volunteer Community Patrol Member.

Members must pass fingerprinting and background checks prior to participating and successfully complete classroom and vehicle training.

Next scheduled training will be held October 23-26, 2023.

Your Community Patrol needs your help!

Our GOAL Is to have he squad on the street in the morning, afternoon, and evening, 7 days a week.  To do that we need more volunteers.  All we need is 2 hours a week of your time.
